10.11.2008 On Monday 10 November 2008, Zlatarski International School was visited by Mr. Francis O’Reilly who was in Sofia to represent the British Bulgarian Friendship Society on a conference the previous weekend. Mr.O’Reilly held a speech about the global dimensions of higher educations for the students of 12 IB grades. He also met and spoke to students from 10 and 11 grades in their Biology and English classes. Mr. O’Reilly who is also IB examiner in Environmental studies, met Mrs. Kardasheva and some of the IB staff members and discussed the issue of becoming an IB examiner – the application procedure and the benefits the position brings both as personal experience for the teachers as well as for raising the profile of the school institution. Zlatarski School successfully offers the IB Diploma Programme for 8 years now and 71 students were awarded their Diplomas. The next IB examination session will be held at Zlatarski IB World School in May 2009 when 35 Diploma candidates are expected to go through the rigorous examination procedure and obtain their IB Diplomas. We wish them success!
